Harrison Country Club is a 75-site RV Resort located on the edge of the lakefront commercial area of Harrison Hot Springs, BC's first resort village which is about 90 minutes inland from Vancouver. We have been open since 1985 and are a family-owned and operated small business catering to residents of the Fraser Valley who wish to have an economical holiday home at Harrison. We also cater to overnight guests, mostly Europeans renting motorhomes, some of whom have been visiting us regularly for over 20 years. We offer service in French and German. Our resort is on an island-like parcel between steep granite cliffs and the Miama River and Miama Slough. We have planted most of the trees on the property and maintain the water surface as a wildlife sanctuary, providing nesting rafts, loafing logs and perches for birds. Our grass areas are not chemically treated and we hand-pick weeds rather than spray. Garbage is sorted and recyclables ( bottles, plastics and cardboard ) are diverted to the recycling centre in Agassiz. We encourage the use of bicycles and provide these free to guests. We support the Green Tourism program as it helps encourage businesses to think about their enviro-impact and strive to be greener, in a meaningful way. Living onsite ourselves, we do not want our personal environment to be unnecessarily degraded by the business activity. We are quite protective of our wildlife and habitat.
